Now that I have my topics connected and my ideas explained, I need to transfer them to a different media. I used a web to figure it out. I started with my idea, "Rightfully Ours". From there, I did three offshoots of different types of media I would be interested in creating; video, sculpture, and painting. From there, I came up with ideas specific to those three.
In the end I came up with two ideas for a video (a series of interviews asking people "What is rightfully yours?", and a narrative of the process of the final project), a sketch of a sculpture (stacked cubes with organic shapes cut out of the middle), and a concept for a painting.
The next step is supplies. That is fairly easy. You get what you need. Duh. The only real question is how to plan to set up for a space you haven't seen yet; a vision that I can't really picture. That makes the follow through quite interesting. Sometimes its nice to plan things out. Other times creating an idea and running with it is more fun and more productive, and wields more high-quality work. The idea that everything needs to be planned to a tee is very restrictive, because in the end it is personal; it is whatever works for you is what you should do. Becoming aware of how you think and how you create will help you produce more worthwhile work.
